Editor's Letter

Dear Saints,

Greetings once again in the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus! We continue to rejoice in the Lord’s goodness and grace. He is on the throne!

We’re hoping to get this issue out on time for a change — if the printer can get the paper! Shortages everywhere!

The main article is part 3 of “The Gospel” as well as chapter 16 of “Examine Yourselves.” I pray that it will help give clarity and rest to many. We surely need a spiritual foundation in Christ in such an hour!

Recently I felt the need to slightly revise and update an article I wrote many years ago, “The Valley of Decision.” I am trusting that you, the reader, can discern this present time and see just how critical such a message is. People everywhere are making choices with eternal consequences and they don’t even realize it.

I’m just thankful that the Lord will reach and save all of His. Jesus said, “All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.” John 6:37. May we add our prayers to this wonderful promise and see the Lord at work.

We have also included an encouraging testimony from Sister Merilea Bigham. It is always wonderful when the Lord takes truth and helps us to apply it to our daily lives. He is faithful!

Once again we are planning, Lord willing, to gather here in Southern Pines for our convention, June 22-25. We are expecting folks from our assemblies as always but also have some coming from overseas. Pray with us that the Lord will have His way and speak. Pray about joining us!

As always, we need His present living word and not just regurgitated tradition. Dead truth helps no one. But when Jesus is present and speaking to the needs of the hearers then there are eternal results. And He knows our needs better than we do!

Till next time may God’s rich blessings be yours.

Your brother in Christ,
Phil Enlow
