Why does Jesus love me,
Will be with me to the end?
Why? Because He’s Jesus,
And He is my Best Friend.`
Why did Jesus heal me,
When cancer tried my life to steal?
Why? Because I’m saved by Grace,
And I am His for real.`
Only He knows where I’ve been,
All the hurt, all the sin,
In spirit, I was lost and blind,
His Word has now renewed my mind.`
By Faith I know I can endure,
My Hope of Heaven is secure,
Though life had been an endless maze,
Not even prison stops my praise!`
Why would a man, so Kind and True,
Die for things He didn’t do?
He snatched my soul right out of hell,
“Jesus Is Lord!” I can tell.`
The changes in me, some find odd,
But they can take that up with God,
He’s Steady, Loyal, Faithful, True,
And right now I have work to do.`
Why does Jesus love me?
I’ll say this till I die,
“It’s just because He’s Jesus,
And I’m the apple of His eye.”`
