Editor's Letter

Dear Saints,

Greetings to all in the wonderful name of Jesus! I pray that you are well and looking to the Lord daily. He is faithful, whatever our earthly circumstances may be. We have no promise of a life of ease here. In fact Jesus said, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33.

Several weeks ago I felt definitely impressed to preach a message entitled, “Earth’s Last Hour.” It should be obvious to anyone with any spiritual discernment which way the world is going. The spirit of antichrist is taking over and men as a whole are utterly blind to it. Of course none of this is taking God by surprise; it is exactly what He told us was going to happen.

There comes a point in God’s dealings with man when judgment becomes inevitable. Unbeknownst to those upon whom it is to fall a clock in heaven begins to tick.

Nothing can stop that clock. Calls for revival are wonderful and appropriate – but no revival at that point can intervene and prevent judgment from falling.

The very fact that there is a countdown at all testifies to God’s mercy. He continues to reach out, not to save the society or the world as a whole, but to save individuals. He also uses this period to preserve and prepare His people for what lies beyond.

I am certainly not alone in seeing that we are in such a period. After that particular message was preached more than one recalled – and re-read – the book, “Sudden Death Overtime.” The articles that make up that book began to be written before the events of 9/11. The sense that I had at that time about these things has only intensified as time has moved along.

As younger generations arise I believe it is important for them to live with a true perspective regarding this world and its destiny. Additionally, it is appropriate from time to time to recall the many things the Lord so dramatically revealed to us in the late 1960s. We are seeing those things unfold before our eyes.

And so this issue consists of chapters 2, 8, and 9 of that book. I hope you will consider reading the whole book. Of course it is available on the website. We have printed copies available for those desiring them. For those who are able we would encourage you to send $7.00 to help us with the cost, however, if you truly are not able but want the entire book please let us know. Also, “Sudden Death Overtime” is available on Amazon.com as a Kindle book for a nominal cost.

Just about the time this issue was about ready to print I received a wonderful testimony from Sister Kristen Phillips. The testimony was too good to leave out but it was a little late to rework everything. SO, there is a short preview on page 8, AND the whole thing is on the website!

As I write this, in about a week and a half Bro. Tony Talbert and I will be departing for Asia once again. This time we expect to visit brothers and sisters in several locations in the Philippines and in India. Lord willing, we are anticipating a variety of opportunities to minister including TV, church services, youth meetings, village and poor community outreach, a pastor’s conference, an outreach to a military unit, and whatever else the Lord has in mind.

As always we keenly feel our inadequacy and solicit your prayers that when we speak and minister in other ways, it will truly be the Lord and not us. Until next time may God richly bless you.

Your brother in Christ,
Phil Enlow
