Editor's Letter

Dear Saints,

Greetings to all in the wonderful name of Jesus! As I write this summertime is here in full force. Today is yet another day of triple-digit weather. That’s 100 or more on the fahrenheit scale (38 or more for most of the rest of the world!).

We have recently returned from our June Convention, held this year in Jacksonville, Florida. The Lord wonderfully favored us with His presence, both challenging and encouraging us through the Word.

This year’s convention was enriched by the presence of three different brothers and a sister from India. Each was a blessing to us and we pray that they in turn will be richly blessed and fruitful in their respective efforts as they return to India.

Shortly before the convention Bro. Ben Johnson and I returned from a visit to our friends in the Philippines. Bro. Ben is one of our younger ministers and this was his first opportunity to travel overseas, truly a life-changing experience.

The Lord blessed and overshadowed throughout our trip, even down to the small details involved in travel. He is so faithful! There were many ministry opportunities including visits to a women’s jail, a shelter for abused women and children, a tribal community, a youth camp and youth meetings, a conference open to the public, tv interview/prayer programs, and regular church services with the saints there. There was even an outreach opportunity involving a good group from the national police. We parted from the saints there with many hugs and fond farewells and pray God’s richest blessings upon them in the weeks and months to come.

One of the features of our website is a transcript of the TV broadcast each week. As we prepare these issues of the MCM some of these transcripts seem to be specially quickened as profitable articles for the paper. That is the case this issue with the lead article, “Repentance and Forgiveness.” It is from a message preached in October 2011 in which the Lord was present and quickening some very profitable truth needed by every believer – starting with me! We are all “made of the same stuff” and need the same Savior.

The second article, “Help! I Need Deliverance,” is designed to set forth general principles that apply to anyone in need as a result of satanic bondage. How does it happen? What has God given us in Christ? The sad truth, however, is that many people are looking for a way – any way – to get rid of their devils – or at least the trouble they cause – but have no real desire to surrender their lives to Christ. They don’t understand that there only two options in this world: to live and die under the dominion of the kindgom of darkness, or to unconditionally surrender to Christ. Let’s continue to lift up Christ as the only hope of mankind.

Your brother in Christ,
Phil Enlow
